Dear Fellow Tentmaker,
Our priority is to pray for you and your business to expand and fill your II Cor 10:13 'sphere' so that you can be all that God wants you to be.
Our second priority is to encourage every Chrisitan, every family, every individual who is a follower of Christ to become more familiar and more comfortable with the trustworthiness of the Bible, the only true Scripture.
Our Immediate 'World'
Locally, we are part of the Quad-State Chapter of Tentmakers Network. This means parts of the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia--aka The I-81 Corridor; the outside of the Washington, D.C. trading area. We adhere to the same goals as the National Chapter:
1. Discover and encourage every believer in business to get plugged into his
or her solid, local church (or get involved if unaffiliated now) and
a) Develop as feasible/possible small group business prayer groups;
b) Discover their own unique spiritual gift and plug into or develop
local to international ministries that complement that gift;
c) Develop The Miracle That Is Your Bible presenters in your specific
community and/or find/support others who take it to every believer
in their church--and surrounding churches--so that we can raise the
confidence level of believers in the Bible and strengthen Christian
families so that they obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.
2. Educate and inform other believers about influ
This includes encouraging you to build your inward, upward and outward development in God's amazing grace. First Things First
What are we about and why should you join in our quest?
We believe each one of us--within our own communities--must develop our spiritual gift(s) within our 'own' ministry--starting with our local church. Our Lord has also given us each of us different gifts and also different personalities and what I call 'holy itches' or desires given by the Holy Sprit that only God can 'scratch' that identifies our yielded selves with a particular need in the world as our "reasonable service" (Rom 12: 1-2).
For the Christian in business, our ministry 'need' should go beyond serving as an elder or deacon, teaching a class or simply sponsoring the monthly support of our church's missionaries and projects. Yet all this is very important, even vital, to the foundation our own growth in Christ. We certainly agree with many teachers that any ministry must be to the church, first, then outward from there.
This Strikes to the Heart of The 'Why to' of Team 1000
When we prayed about this ministry to Christians in business, the Lord used one of our first interviews (See This Month's Interview) with the curator of the Christian Heritage Museum to reveal a terrific new witnessing tool for members!

The Vision of TEAM 1000 and The Centurians Is Born
We were originally looking to have a simple monthly membership for business owners, but our initial launch board of advisors came up with the thought that Tentmakers have a direction in everything we do--and not be an end in itself.
Therefore, instead of charging folks $29--$199+ a month and giving them bunches of business software, reports, books and so on to feed their business aspirations, we decided to GIVE that part at no charge. Instead, we want to allow business owners to select their own participation level in GIVING AWAY, SELLING or using the How We Got the Bible DVD as a VALUE ADDED item to any product or service your business is involved in!
Hence, our vision is that no matter what spiritual 'itch' the Holy Spirit is giving you--from the local crisis pregnancy center your church may sponsor to digging water wells in Africa, Christian eduction, to church planting and translation work in remote tribal areas and across the spectrum of ministry possibilities, you will want to match your spiritual gift(s), your personality and your II Corinthians 10;13 life 'sphere' with that ministry AND with the eternal Scriptures in your life.
Far too many of us who attend church and Bible studies each week, still do not have a true understanding of what those believers back through the centuries went through in giving us the Bible we have today. Many of us still lack the internal power of the awesome miracle of the Bible in not reading it and grafting God's Word into our daily lives and our ministries.

Centurian Membership--This is a group of 100 believer-owned businesses and /or individuals (or Sunday School classes) who will take the How We Got the Bible (with the detailed or narrative outline) to at least 10 new persons or groups every month--120 per year--by sponsoring Tentmakers at just $199/month.
