Background...
. Part of the Faith at Work Movement And the 7-Mountains of Society Concept first brought forth by Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ and Loren Cunningham of Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in 1977. Tentmakers urges each member to strive to influence where they fit in the 7 societal mountains of Government, Business, Media, Arts & Entertainment, Family, Religion and Education for Christ as the day draws closer.
Our Construction...
. We are a national ministry with Regional and Local Chapters. The National
Chapter is our local Quad-State Regional Chapter encompassing the I-81 Corridor of contiguous counties in the four states of Pennsylvania (Franklin County), Maryland (Washington County), West Virginia (Berkeley, Jefferson & Morgan Counties) and Virginia (Frederick County). Each county is to comprise a local chapter unless otherwise agreed upon because of geographical or political boundaries.
Our Membership...
Membership is open to any Christian business owner and those who support them. What are you doing with the gift that God has given you? While our aim is to strengthen local businesses and business owners in and through their local church, we also welcome anyone in the marketplace who wishes to join with and encourage others to live out their faith in their respective marketplace to the glory of God and the furtherance of His Kingdom.

The purpose of membership in Tentmakers Network is to grow
Christian business owners and their businesses and ministries (if
any) in and through their local churches so as to influence
our respective marketplaces for the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is Accomplished In and Through...
SEMINARS—The Miracle That Is Your Bible (MTIYB) seminar both public (community organizations, churches and business and consumer groups) and private (employees, neighborhood outreaches. Through the seminar and the outstanding DVD How We Got the Bible we look to call (mostly) Christians back to their grounding confidence in the Bible as their answer for every aspect of life. The seminars are led by TN members, believers in every facet of society who see the urgent need of influencing one or more of the 7 cultural mountains of society.
SMALL GROUP and PRAYER MINISTRIES—Individuals confidentially praying for the success of Christian business owners and their families in their local congregations and nationwide via personal, phone or online contact with other members and their own accountability partners.
DETERMINING SPIRITUAL GIFTS—And also discovering individual passions that are congruent to their gifting for both business and spiritual realms that ignite new businesses in their marketplace and new ministries in and through their local church or becoming involved in a current church ministry. It is hoped that a series of God-given and God-blessed goals will come from this quest so that the individual and/or ministry and/or business will impact mission funding and influencing their selected part of the 7 cultural mountains for Christ until He comes.
FREE AND LOW-COST BUSINESS AND INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITY COACHES TO GROW THEIR CURRENT BUSINESS AND IMPACT FOR CHRIST THROUGH THEIR LOCAL CHURCH. It is desired that Tentmakers be a supporting platform for on-going one-to-one coaching and consulting support from our Verified Resource Providers List to grow their resources of wise counsel.
FREE AND LOW-COST BUSINESS AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH RESOURCES TO MINISTER TO EMPLOYEES, VENDORS, SUPPLIERS AND CUSTOMERS. We are developing, through our membership and our own library of 35+ years in the business marketplace, many tested and proven resources for starting, growing and sustaining a business—from retail and manufacturing to services including developing your own business coaching and/or consulting revenue. It is our desire that as more and more Chapters come on board with more and more members who have tested and proven business skills with demonstrated 'business battle scars' as we say, that great revenue and talent for the worldwide church and missions, and even revival, will result.
Tentmakers, through our members, supports you in your business (and any ministry you have with or through your local church), spiritually in prayer and helping you develop your spiritual gifts; AND supports you with practical business-to-business counsel and tested and proven revenue-generating resources. We need to work to gether building up one another.
